Working on location is a very unpredictable situation. You hardly ever know just what to expect when you arrive in a place you have never been. The movie business is erratic enough without being hit with surprises. I moved my entire company into RV rentals for a scene in the Cleveland National Park. The first morning for filming was totally in chaos when a herd of elk permeated the area. They didn’t actually do any harm, but they wouldn’t leave. Some of the cast were so frightened they wouldn’t leave the trailers. Luckily, I found a way to incorporate the critters into the scene.
