OH WOW! Imagine you trod through a normal day of activity. You settle down in the evening and have your supper. You pop on the telli for an hour or so. Ho-hum, it’s bedtime. As you are slumbering, it happens. This incredible thought wakens you in a cold sweat. You witnessed yourself in your lab discovering a procedure called cell isolation. Is it real? Is this some kind of Divine Intervention? Well I guess you’d better just run with it. Will the world believe you? Do you believe you? Well we all do now and we are in total AWE.
If twenty years ago, I mentioned in passing that there were these labs that were using stem cells and cell isolation as medical procedures. What would you do? I think you might call a sanitarium and attempt to have me committed. Now people hear about these procedures and seemingly take them for granted. I, on the other hand, am absolutely in awe and deep appreciation of what these amazing people have accomplished. I can’t wait to see what they do next. It is really mysterious to me how someone could have even begun to imagine such technology.

I am an avid proponent of all aspiring athletes to avail themselves of them.
I finally got around to auditing my household expenses. I went into shock when I saw my heating bills. I was having my bills paid automatically from my checking account and fell asleep on the job. The numbers were staggering. My old heating system was so inefficient it was like I was spewing dollars all over the place. It is just like me to check out this situation at the beginning of spring instead of winter. Well, better late than never. I am so pleased that the new furnace installation I had done will probably cut my heating expense in half for next winter.

This is how I feel every time I think of the spectacular Charleston homes. The beauty and grace of their gardens and gates and trees just takes me away to softness and makes the atmosphere so etherial. Charleston is a very special place. I always visualize it as some sort of heaven on earth. There aren’t too many cities that exude the peaceful exuberance that it does. I’ll be looking forward to retiring there.
How in the world can we actually have cell isolation? Is it really possible? Is some organization freaking us out so they can isolate us from our hard earned cash? Well, article after article says I’m the unhinged skeptic. The medical journals are flooded with accolades and recounts of all the progress in this area. I guess I have to let go of my doubting Thomas persona and give credit to these remarkable minds that persevere until they succeed. I am totally amazed when I read about the possibilities offered by this new science. We are in for some ride.
The unforgettable catastrophe that occurred at the Outdoor Advaentures Co. in Whistler, Canada will be a stain on humanity for a very long time. Joey Houssian, the principal owner of th company, will have to live with this burden for the rest of his life. He has come forth and stated that he accepts full moral responsibility for what happened. I can’t really interpret what he meant when he said something similar to “I was not aware of the scale of what happened.” The Canadian authorities are conducting an investigation into the matter. I am sure no one is more interested in the outcome than Mr. Houssian.
The time has arrived when the person who has claimed personal and moral responsibiliy for the tragic event that occurred in Whistler, Canada last April to step up. Surely there is an investigation being conducted. However, we the public, that are anxiously awaiting, deserve some kind of update. The incident has stirred up endless feelings of anger and disgust. One would think Joey Houssian would say something at this point to further still the waters and give us some solace. It does seem like we have little choice but to sit and wait for the courts to do their thing.
Could any of you ever imagine a number like this? Try to visualize walking outside your office onto the surrounding grounds with a pad and pencil. You turn a corner and there they are. One, two, three……..the total increases, forty-four, forty-five. By now you are in visible shock. You went beyond disgust and sickness. They are lying there pathetic and lifeless waiting for a mass grave. You are not done. The count resumes, seventy-six, seventy-seven…….. Hard to believe isn’t it? Is it possible? 100 dogs have been erased. The world is a sadder place when humans are inhumane.
